I think Barack Obama, current Senator of Illinois, will be a good president if he gets elected. First of all, I like his policy about Iraq. The Iraqi troops abroad have been there for many years, but still, it seems like not much has been done about it. In my point of view, when domestic economics are not in a good shape and federal debt is reaching high, there should be less care for international relationship and foreign policy. The upcoming government should focus on refining domestic systems and solving domestic problems. I also like his idea about Tax reform. To activate the market, taxes should remain low, although high taxes are needed to pay national debt. I think tax policy of America is very complicated, so it will be easier for citizens to have easier and simpler tax laws.
Lastly, I like his charismatic characteristics and his ability to speak up in front of others. He has made several impressive speeches, and majority of people have approved those. As a leader of a country and representative, courage to speak to large groups of people and speaking ability is required.
The two biggest reasons I have for choosing McCain are for his policies on education and on the war in Iraq.
I think he is right when he says that in order for the US to have an impact on the iraqi government, it needs more troops and more people to secure their government. If we leave now, we would only give up our footprint on the iraqi government and all that we have done would go to waste.
Also I agree his policies on the education of America. I think he is right when he says that the schools need to have more of an impact on the students who attend their. Schools need to hire teachers who are enthusiastic to teach and it needs to be more involving for students, and not just a haven for students in pubic school.
I choose Obama, the current senator of Illinois, because i like and support his views mainly on tax reform, and Iraq. He believes tax rates should be low and fair, now that the federal tax has become increasingly complex. Creating a simple system that would be well rounded, facing the problems of ordinary Americans that would make the economy a better place. He also opposes the plan to go to war in Iraq because the Iraqi troops have been here for a long and at the same time no progress has been made. Furthermore he has the ability to deliver many great speeches and has the courage to stand up for what he believes in.
The two main reasons I support Obama are, first, because he’s shown he really cares about the growing issue of the environment and global warming. He is a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee in the Senate and he has worked to make sure that the laws passed balance our needs for a healthy, sustainable environment. Secondly, I support him for his foreign policy. Obama has also worked on strengthening our position in global matters such as terrorism, the genocide in Darfur, and poverty by being in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Now if he’s done all this in the Senate who’s o say he wouldn’t do the same as president.
I support senator Barack Obama for several reasons, all pertaining to his overall plan for change. More specifically, I agree with his plans to better the education system. Government education programs all ready established have not been proven to be very effective and I like that one of Obama’s goals is to revise them. For example, he plans to reform “No Child left Behind” and increase fundings for the Head Start program. Obama seems to feel strongly about making a good education possible for children of all backgrounds and classes. coming from a New York public school, i feel that it’s about time for a change in the quality of education being received. Secondly, i support his Iraq policy. i believe the troops have been there too long and i agree with Obama’s strategy.
